Who We Are

Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS (abbreviated PKA.SOS) is a Malaysian company that delivers medical and travel security services to corporations in the energy, mining, infrastructure and government sectors. PKA.SOS is a joint venture between local Malaysian shareholders and International SOS Malaysia Sdn Bhd (abbreviated Intl.SOS). As an associate of Intl.SOS, PKA.SOS has access to International SOS’ full scope of medical resources and capabilities worldwide.

PKA.SOS also develops and deploys qualified Malaysians throughout Asia and the Middle East Regions through its export division. They are focused on providing professional and medical services to clients in the regions and its surrounding while gaining international exposure and experience. Upon completion, they return to Malaysia where their newly gained experience would value add the roles that they take on. We currently have over 40 medical staff and professionals undergoing this programme.

Our Infrastructure

PKA.SOS is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and has an office in Miri, Sarawak. Our PKA.SOS office in Miri, Sarawak also serves as a Skills Development Centre for medics providing basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, equipment training and medics induction programmes.

In addition to that, PKA.SOS also has full access to International SOS’s local and global resources and capabilities enabling PKA.SOS to operate as a global company delivering a consistent 24-hour service, coordinated across time zones. Whether at a global or local level, PKA.SOS has access to the following International SOS’ resources at a preferred fee, to provide a fast and flexible response to our members’ needs:-
Caring for +9,000 organisations from more than 1,000 locations in 90 countries
Worldwide network of 27 assistance centres that is open 24/7/365 and staffed by physicians, multi-lingual coordinators, operations managers and logistics support personnel, they can respond rapidly to any type of emergency or call for assistance. Our global case management system enables our doctors, security specialists and coordinators to monitor cases in real-time around the world. Information such as x-rays and scans can be attached and viewed from any assistance centre.
53 International SOS clinics, located in places where international standards of medical care is unavailable, or where cultural and language barriers make it difficult to receive appropriate care. They offer primary care, diagnostic care and 24/7 emergency care.
Around 1,600 air ambulance missions per year
Global network of over 103,000 credentialed medical, security and technical providers is managed by a dedicated team of Network Specialists. A powerful, proprietary database and search tool means that information can be found and updated immediately.
Multi-lingual staff, providing services in 100 languages and dialects.
Global staffing of over 13,000 people, of whom 6,000 are medical professionals, i.e. doctors, dentists, nurses, medics, pharmacists and aero-medical specialists.

Our people undergo continual training and development to ensure that, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, they are able to make timely decisions in the best interests of our clients.

Whether they are soft skills training, or technical know-how, our staff will be fully kept up to speed with the most up to date training programmes.
