Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS (abbreviated PKA.SOS) is a Malaysian joint venture between local
Malaysian shareholders and International SOS Malaysia Sdn Bhd (abbreviated Intl.SOS). PKA.SOS
provides medical and travel security services to corporations in the energy, mining, infrastructure
and government sectors. As an associate of Intl.SOS, PKA.SOS has access to International SOS’ full
scope of medical resources and capabilities worldwide at an agreed preferred fee.
PKA.SOS also develops and deploys qualified Malaysians throughout Asia and the Middle East Regions
through its export division. They are focused on providing professional and medical services to
clients in the regions and its surrounding while gaining international exposure and experience. Upon
completion, they return to Malaysia where their newly gained experience would value add the roles
that they take on. We currently have over 40 medical staff and professionals undergoing this
programme.
PKA.SOS was incorporated on 28 July 2010. As a majority-owned Bumiputera
company, PKA.SOS obtained its Ministry of Finance Bumiputra Status on 15 May 2012 and subsequently
two Petroliam Nasional Berhad (“PETRONAS”) Licences on 18 September 2012 for safety consultancy
services and manpower supply services. Since obtaining these two licenses, PKA.SOS has grown to be
the preferred provider of Medical Services for Intl.SOS and other companies involved in the energy,
mining and infrastructure sectors.
PKA.SOS is staffed with 150 people comprising doctors, medics and professional staff of which more
than 75% are professionals with more than 10 years of experience in the industry. Local Malaysians
account for 98% of the employees in PKA.SOS.
