Zainal Abidin bin Abas was appointed the Chairman of Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS in July
2010 and is responsible to guide the company in its overall business direction and growth in
the local market.
Graduated in 1977, Zainal began his career in the telecommunication industry. Formerly with
Airod Sdn Bhd, Malaysian International Consultant Sdn Bhd and Telekom Malaysia, Zainal had
successfully headed and completed numerous telecommunication projects and implementations.
Zainal joined Isolectra Malaysia Sdn Bhd as General Sales Manager in 1997 and was promoted
to Managing Director the following year. Zainal brings with him 34 years of valuable
experience in business development and management, and project and operations management.
Zainal holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Southern Illinois
University, USA. He is into fitness and health and home improvement activities. In his past
time, Zainal enjoys reading and golfing.
Abdul Aziz Ali was appointed a Director for Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS in July 2010.
Specialised in sales management, strategic account management and business partner
management especially in the telecommunication and public sector, Abdul Aziz value-adds the
company with his experience to drive and manage complex sales and account engagement.
Abdul Aziz graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Accounting from the Arizona
State University, USA. He began his successful career in the ICT industry begun as an
Account Manager for Applied Business Systems Sdn Bhd. Over the years, Abdul Aziz progressed
to sales management and development in Informix Malaysia and CS Technologies before moving
on the Cisco Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd where he oversaw channel operations and service
provider business. Abdul Aziz is a firm believer of life-long learning and actively pursues
knowledge and skills in his leisure.
Jing is the Regional Chief Executive Officer & Director for the Southeast Asia (SEA) Region,
India, Central Asia, Papua New Guinea and Mongolia at International SOS, leading business
development activities and service deliveries. He also heads the crisis management team,
overseeing responses to crises in the region.
Since joining International SOS in early 2010 as Chief Financial Officer for SEA, including
India and Hong Kong, Jing has played a pivotal role in the company’s expansion, later
becoming CFO for the Asia Region and subsequently extending his leadership to the Asia
Pacific Region. Under his financial leadership, the Asian business has seen strong
double-digit growth, and his IT expertise helped launch an integrated digital service
platform in Asia.
His career spans Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Regions, with extensive experience in
Commercial Partnerships, Finance Leadership, Digital Transformations, Quality Service
Deliveries, and Operations, having lived and worked in London for 8 years, Hong Kong for 7
years, Singapore for 10 years, Sydney for 2 years, and now in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Before International SOS, Jing spent 8 years with the Adidas Group, serving as Regional
Managing Director for Adidas and TaylorMade Golf Brands in Southeast Asia and India, and
held roles in the Executive Committee and as Treasurer of the Asian Golf Industry
Federation.
He is a Leadership Graduate of the INSEAD Business School and holds professional
qualifications in CPA (Australia), FCA Chartered Accountants (UK), CTA Chartered Tax
Consultants (UK), and BA (Honours) in Economics (UK).
Ida Marianna Abdul Rashid (Ida) joined PKA.SOS on 2 January 2025. She is a Genetics degree
holder with 21 years of experience in various roles in the oil and gas industry, and 7 years
of experience in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
Ida started her career as a Research Executive, with AC Nielsen Malaysia, a market research
agency, before venturing into the oil & gas industry, to fulfill her obligation as a
PETRONAS scholar. She spent 8 years in PETRONAS, where she played multiple roles, which
includes HR & Admin, development of refinery linear programming (LP) model and managing the
overall business planning process for PETRONAS Downstream business.
Subsequently, Ida spread her wings to join a US independent oil company, Hess Corporation
(Hess) as a Senior Business Analyst for Southeast Asia, and later led the Asia Pacific
Exploration planning function. She later became Asia Pacific Global Negotiation and
Commercial Advisor, and subsequently appointed as Head of Communications and External
Affairs for Hess Asia where she was a member of the Asia Leadership Team, reporting directly
to the Country Head and Vice President for Asia.
In 2018, Ida joined Pharmaniaga Berhad as the Strategic Planning Director, before being
appointed as the Executive Vice President of Business Development. She led the private
vaccination program supplying Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine to private market and state
governments during the COVID-19 pandemic era.
Dr Fazid joins International SOS in 2021, providing health and medical advisory services to
clients’ workforce, be it in office or remote sites. These services include remote health
support, medical evacuation planning, telemedicine delivery, repatriation of expats via
aeromedical evacuations for upgrade of care and many more.
Dr Fazid oversees the service delivery and medical governance of his medical team in Kuala
Lumpur, review and draft medical and emergency response plan for clients, provide onsite
evaluation of medical capabilities and he also work closely with site medical teams to
ensure patients in remote locations receive appropriate care.
Upon graduation from Melaka Manipal Medical College in 2013, Dr Fazid has accumulated vast
experience working in various Emergency Departments in both East and Peninsular Malaysia,
serving both public and private healthcare system. He is a credentialed Advanced Cardiac and
Trauma Life Support provider and also holds a master’s degree in occupational medicine from
the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
