Zainal Abidin bin Abas was appointed the Chairman of Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS in July 2010 and is responsible to guide the company in its overall business direction and growth in the local market.
Graduated in 1977, Zainal began his career in the telecommunication industry. Formerly with Airod Sdn Bhd, Malaysian International Consultant Sdn Bhd and Telekom Malaysia, Zainal had successfully headed and completed numerous telecommunication projects and implementations. Zainal joined Isolectra Malaysia Sdn Bhd as General Sales Manager in 1997 and was promoted to Managing Director the following year. Zainal brings with him 34 years of valuable experience in business development and management, and project and operations management.
Zainal holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Southern Illinois University, USA. He is into fitness and health and home improvement activities. In his past time, Zainal enjoys reading and golfing.
Abdul Aziz Ali was appointed a Director for Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS in July 2010. Specialised in sales management, strategic account management and business partner management especially in the telecommunication and public sector, Abdul Aziz value-adds the company with his experience to drive and manage complex sales and account engagement.
Abdul Aziz graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Accounting from the Arizona State University, USA. He began his successful career in the ICT industry begun as an Account Manager for Applied Business Systems Sdn Bhd. Over the years, Abdul Aziz progressed to sales management and development in Informix Malaysia and CS Technologies before moving on the Cisco Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd where he oversaw channel operations and service provider business. Abdul Aziz is a firm believer of life-long learning and actively pursues knowledge and skills in his leisure.
Dr. Chan Yanjun was appointed as the Medical Director of Medical Services & Response Centre of Perkhidmatan Antarabangsa SOS (PKA.SOS) in November 2018. She oversees the delivery of quality medical services across all the medical sites of PKA.SOS in Malaysia and leads the Response Centre Medical Team in case management.
Dr. Chan dedicates her time in reviewing emergency practices and response procedures, conducts site audits and health reviews as well as devotes her efforts in learning and development of PKA.SOS remote site Medics & Response Centre Medical Team.
Dr. Chan joined International SOS in 2016 and accepted the challenge in working closely with PKA.SOS remote site Medics in looking after patients in the offshore and remote locations. Her main focus areas are Occupational health medicine and the practice of medicine in offshore & remote environments and industries such as oil & gas industry.
Upon graduation from medical school, Dr. Chan has been working in tertiary government hospitals and private medical centres of substantial period of her time in Malaysia. Her experiences in the healthcare industry ranged from general medicine to anesthesia, intensive care, emergency medicine and trauma medicine.
Dr Mohd Khairi was appointed Chief Medical Advisor and Executive Director of PKA.SOS effective 1st July 2021. He holds the Doctor of Emergency Medicine from National University of Malaysia, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from International Islamic University Malaysia.
Dr Khairi has 20 years of experience gained from various government and private hospitals, academia and United Nations (UN) missions. These include the Ministry of Defense as Head of Accident & Emergency unit posted with United Nation Medical Centre of Laayoune; the Ministry of Health as Emergency Medicine Physician for National University Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital; and the Ministry of Education as Senior Lecturer for Faculty of Medicine and Defense Health in National Defense University Malaysia and UTAR.
Prior to joining PKA.SOS, Dr Khairi leads the Central Medical Facility (CMF) for Pengerang Integrated Complex (RAPID) in Johor as Medical Centre Director cum Emergency Remote Physician. His responsibility includes ensuring that the medical treatment and interventions at the CMF are in compliance with international and national standards.
